Favuni Global — Global Education Learning
Your choices, respected

Cookie Policy

Favuni Global uses a small number of cookies to keep you signed in, to remember the choice you make below, and — only with your permission — to understand which of our study-abroad guides are useful. This page lists every one of them.

Change your cookie choices

Your current preferences are stored on this device. Open the panel to review them or switch any optional category on or off — the change takes effect straight away.

Section 01

Introduction

What this policy covers.

Favuni Global uses cookies and similar technologies on this website. This policy explains what they are, which ones we use, what each one does, and how you can control the optional ones at any time.

It covers the favuniglobal.com website only. How we handle the personal and academic information you share with our counsellors is covered separately in our Privacy Policy.

We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles, and we run no advertising or remarketing pixels on this website.

Section 02

What Are Cookies?

Small files, and the technologies that work like them.

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. When you return, the browser sends it back, which is how a site can recognise that you are still signed in or remember a choice you made.

“Similar technologies” covers other ways of storing data in the browser, such as local storage, and content embedded from another company — an embedded map, for example — which can set cookies of its own when it loads.

  • First-party cookies are set by favuniglobal.com itself.
  • Third-party cookies are set by another company whose content appears on one of our pages.
  • Session cookies are erased when you close your browser; persistent cookies stay until they expire or you delete them.

Section 03

Why We Use Cookies

The four things cookies do on this website.

Keeping you signed in

Our sign-in, admin area and chat verification all rely on a session cookie. Without it the website cannot tell one request from the next and you would be signed out on every page.

Security

Session and verification cookies are part of how we confirm that a request genuinely came from you, and they support the checks that protect our forms from automated abuse.

Remembering your choices

The choice you make on our cookie banner is itself stored in a cookie. Without it we would have to ask you again on every page you open.

Improving our guides

With your permission we count how often each article is read, so we can see which study-abroad guides are useful and write more of what students actually need.

Section 04

Types of Cookies We Use

Four categories, three of which you control.

Strictly Necessary

Required for the website to work: your sign-in session and the record of your cookie choice. These cannot be switched off through the cookie banner, because the site cannot operate reliably without them.

Functional

Optional features that rely on a third party or remember something on your device. Today this covers the Google Maps embed on our Contact page. Off by default.

Analytics

Our own article view counter, which tells us how often each guide is read. It never receives your IP address or your name. Off by default.

Marketing

Advertising, remarketing and conversion tracking. We do not currently use any marketing cookies on this website. The category exists so that if we ever add one, it stays off until you switch it on.

Functional, Analytics and Marketing cookies are all switched OFF until you choose otherwise. If you have not answered the cookie banner, none of them are running.

Section 06

Third-Party Services

Other companies whose content or infrastructure this website uses.

Supabase

Our database, file storage and sign-in provider. It issues the session cookie described above. Strictly necessary — no consent prompt, because the website cannot sign anyone in without it.

Google Maps

Provides the embedded office map on our Contact page. Google sets its own cookies when the map loads, so we treat it as Functional: the map is replaced by a short notice and a button until you allow that category.

Google Fonts

Serves the typefaces used across the site. Requesting a font reveals your IP address to Google, but Google Fonts sets no cookies, so there is nothing here for a cookie toggle to control.

Favuni AI assistant

Our chat assistant runs entirely on our own server, which talks to the AI provider on your behalf. Your browser never contacts the provider directly, and the assistant sets no cookies of its own.

A small number of illustrative photographs on our Scholarships page are served by external image hosts. Images are requested by your browser in the normal way; we do not use them to track you, and we do not control any headers those hosts choose to send.

We do not use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, Meta/Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity or any comparable advertising or analytics product on this website.

Section 07

Managing Your Cookie Preferences

How to choose, and how to change your mind.

When you first visit the website you are shown a cookie banner with three choices, and nothing optional runs until you pick one.

  • Accept All — allows Functional, Analytics and Marketing cookies.
  • Reject Optional — keeps all three switched off. Everything on the website except the embedded map continues to work normally.
  • Manage Preferences — opens a panel where you can switch each category on or off individually and save exactly that combination.

To change your mind later, select Cookie Settings in the footer of any page. The panel reopens showing your current choices, and saving takes effect immediately.

If we materially change how we use cookies, we increase the consent version recorded alongside your choice and ask you again, rather than assuming your earlier answer still applies.

Section 08

Browser Controls

Controlling cookies outside our website.

Your browser also lets you see, block and delete cookies for any website, independently of the choices you make here. These controls live in the privacy or site-settings section of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge and every other major browser, and your browser's own help pages describe exactly where.

Most browsers can also block third-party cookies, delete everything on exit, or work in a private window that discards cookies when it closes.

Blocking all cookies will sign you out and prevent you from signing back in, because the session cookie is how the website recognises you. Browsing our public pages — destinations, courses, scholarships and the blog — continues to work.

Section 09

Changes to This Cookie Policy

How updates are handled.

We may update this policy when we add or remove a service, when a cookie's purpose changes, or to keep the wording clear. The date at the top of this page always shows when it was last revised.

Alongside this policy we keep a consent version, currently 1.0. When a change materially affects what you agreed to, we increase that version, which causes the cookie banner to appear again so you can make a fresh choice.

Section 10
